* Conditions required for this scholarship:

The scholarship is open to applicants from abroad as well as Qatari nationals.

Students must have completed 12 years of previous education in order to apply to the undergraduate programme.

Candidates for the master’s program must have a bachelor’s degree.

The minimum requirement for admission to the PhD program is to have a master’s degree from any college.

IELTS, TOEFL or GRE test scores are required.

Students who have completed their education at an institution where English is the primary medium of instruction may be exempted from passing an English language test and only need to present an English language proficiency certificate.

Hamad Bin Khalifa University Scholarship Requirements:

1- Students are not eligible to apply for HBKU scholarships until they have been accepted and committed to enroll in one of the applicable HBKU programs and for students who meet or exceed the minimum admission criteria are eligible for awards.

2- Scholarships and tuition waivers are provided for the entire duration of the program which is four years for a bachelor’s degree, two years for a master’s degree, three to four years for a doctoral degree (three years for MS holders and four years for bachelor’s holders) and three years for JD programs depending on whether The student has already obtained an MS/MA degree or not. The scholarships are also renewed every year.

3- Students who have been awarded scholarships or tuition fee waivers must reapply each year to retain their awards and are screened at the end of each spring semester to see if they are eligible for the scholarship to continue into the next academic year.

Scholarship recipients are enrolled in classes for the academic year and the scholarship committee will verify that they meet the minimum requirements. To renew their scholarships, most students must maintain a specific GPA, finish a certain number of credits, and in some cases remain in an approved major. A 3.0 CGPA is often required for MSc or PhD candidates.

4- The scholarship contract determines the number of credits that the recipient must obtain in each semester. Credits obtained from outside HBKU, such as transfers from other universities, will not be counted within the minimum credits necessary to maintain scholarships.

5- It is the responsibility of the student to understand and adhere to the requirements. It is also the responsibility of the student to ensure that they meet the scholarship application deadlines set by the institutions.

6- HBKU colleges determine the value of each academic award and are included in the scholarship contract.

7- There is no requirement for a test term for scholarships. The student will not be placed on probation if he loses his scholarship and the scholarship will be canceled and exceptional cases can be reviewed by the scholarship committee and approved by the Dean.

8- The amount and requirements for scholarships and tuition waivers are subject to change each year at the discretion of HBKU.

9- Students may not receive more than one scholarship. They must also notify HBKU immediately if they receive outside sponsorship.

10- If a student receives multiple scholarships or sponsorship awards during a semester, HBKU reserves the right to limit or cancel these awards at any time. This covers any scholarships from outside sources that you may have been awarded.

11- To be eligible for ongoing scholarship support, students must sign the scholarship agreement and meet all of its conditions.

12- The Hamad Bin Khalifa University scholarship will be canceled for students who have dropped out of the semester or university. The student is fully responsible for tuition fees fines.

13- The Hamad Bin Khalifa University scholarship will be withdrawn from students who violate the university’s policies and honor rules.
