  About the European Commission:


The European Commission (EC) is the executive branch of the European Union and is located in Brussels, Belgium. It is responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU.

This institution of the European Union operates as a cabinet of 28 members of the Commission (informally known as "plenipotentiaries"). There is one member representing each of the member states.


training time :


The training period is 5 months, from the beginning of March to the end of July 2023


Cost / Funding for Participants:


This opportunity is fully funded and will cover the following costs:


1- A monthly salary of $1,300.

2- Visa costs and medical insurance fees are paid with travel expenses.


What does the daily work of the trainees consist of?


● Attend and organize meetings, working groups, forums and public hearings.


● Search and compile documents, reports and consultations, and respond to inquiries.


● Participate in ongoing projects.


  Conditions that must be met by the candidates:


1. Openness to European issues

2. Interest in knowing the committee's working methods

3. Willingness to work in a multicultural environment

4. Contribute to daily work with a fresh perspective

5. Hold a university degree or equivalent, of at least 3 years of study, corresponding to a full course (Bachelor);

6. You have a very good knowledge of one of the official languages of the Commission, English, French and German (for non-EU citizens).

How are candidates evaluated?

Once the application period ends, candidates are evaluated anonymously by two independent evaluators and awarded points based on the following criteria, in the following order of:


1. Education level (minimum - “Bachelor” or equivalent);

2. The level of knowledge of one of the three working languages of the European Commission (English, French and German).

3. Relevant work experience, if any.

4. International profile (education/work/volunteer abroad, mobility, willingness to work in an international atmosphere), if applicable
